Do I truly fear God or know what true fear of the Lord looks like?
Instead of asking another pastor in the community, I wanted to come a little closer. An uncle/aunt perhaps? No. Think closer. MY DAD!
It's not coincidental that a "second wind" comes when we decide to press on and continue.
Have you felt fear or anxiety wash over you when led to speak to someone about God? Did you feel like the person wouldn't be receptive? Would others hear and make you an outcast? More often than not, this can be you (it's me) at some point in your walk of faith. However, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Tim. 1:7)
Every hour of the day you can find a reason to praise, to worship, to pray, to sing to God. You can spend some time with Him! There is never a time where we can't be in the presence of the Lord.
I was being cut down to the bone. I was being exposed to myself in the worst way. My sin looked like what I feared the most, yet I harbored it inside of me.
Who will you turn to in this season? I encourage you to turn your life to Christ and cast your cares on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We are all necessary to the cause and God placed us where we need to be just as He saw fit.
I just couldn't seem to shake these thoughts. But how could I think this way when I serve God who reigns over all things?
